Forthcoming Training: Critical Appraisal. 17th May 2pm - 4pm Location CSU1 (ERC)
This session is delivered by the Library in conjunction with the Medical Statistics Department and provides an introduction to critical appraisal and how to make sense of systematic reviews. The second half of the session will be a group exercise critically appraising a paper.

Problems accessing electronic journals
Because of recent changes relating to Athens, you may experience problems accessing certain electronic journals. Generally, if asked to 'select your institution' when logging in using OpenAthens, select NHS England if Wythenshawe Hospital or University Hospital of South Manchester is not listed.
If you have any problems or can't find the journal title you are looking for, please contact the library and we will do all we can to help.
Dynamed access
DynaMed is a point-of-care clinical reference tool created by physicians for physicians and other health care professionals and students. It is a resource for answering most clinical questions and contains clinically-organized summaries for thousands of topics.
Updated daily, DynaMed monitors the content of over 500 medical journals on a daily basis through Systematic Literature Surveillance, and is the only resource that applies the 7-step systematic evidence-based process to all of its content, assuring that the science backing the recommendations is sound.
